Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Apple handles MealMotor subscriptions, so you cancel through Apple:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Choose MealMotor and tap Cancel Subscription.
You can also get there from MealMotor: open the Profile tab and tap your plan. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in to MealMotor with the same Apple or Google account you used before, and make sure your iPhone uses the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. Then open the Profile tab, tap your plan, and tap Restore Purchases.
How do I get a refund?
Apple processes all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly.
How do I delete my account?
Open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, then confirm. This permanently deletes your profile, preferences, meal plans, grocery lists, saved recipes and cooking history. If you own a household, that household is deleted for all its members. If you're a member of someone else's household, you just leave it.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it with Apple first, as described above. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
How do households work?
A household shares one meal plan and one grocery list. Go to Profile → Manage Households to invite people by email, see who's in your household, or leave one. Everyone's allergies and dietary restrictions apply to the shared plan.
Can I rely on MealMotor for food allergies?
MealMotor filters and flags recipes using the allergies you enter, but ingredient data, especially in imported or AI-processed recipes, can be wrong or incomplete. Always check ingredients and product labels yourself before cooking for someone with an allergy. See section 2 of our Terms.
An imported recipe looks wrong. What should I do?
Imports are read automatically, sometimes with AI, and occasionally get a quantity or step wrong. You can delete the saved recipe and import it again. If a recipe or website keeps importing incorrectly, email us the link so we can look into it.
How do I contact you about privacy?
Email support@mealmotor.com. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and your choices.
